Dog Friendly Beaches in Boxford, MA

Plum Island Point Beach is a pet-friendly beach in Newburyport, MA. Dogs are welcome to join their owners on the beach without a leash from October 15th to May 15th. Unfortunately, pups are never allowed on the Plum Island Refuge. The off-leash section of the beach is by the lighthouse and Captain's Lady. Dogs are not permitted on the beach from May 15th through October 15th.

Leashed dogs are welcome during the off-season at Salisbury Beach State Reservation in Salisbury, MA. This state beach is pet-friendly from September 16th to March 31st. It's a popular area that overlooks the point at which the Merrimack River feeds the Atlantic Ocean, offering a stunning spot to spend time.

Harborside Park is a dog-friendly beachfront park and memorial in Seabrook, NH. Your leashed dog is welcome to join you for an oceanfront walk or a viewing of the monument. The monument on site is in honor of the Seabrook citizens that have been lost at sea. Forest River Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Salem, MA, featuring two beaches, a baseball field and woods to explore. Additional amenities include benches and picnic tables overlooking the ocean. Pets should be leashed throughout the park but are welcome off leash on the beaches during the off season. Parking is available for a fee or for free with a resident permit or recreation permit.

Nahant Beach in Nahant, MA, is dog friendly during the off-season. Dogs are allowed from October through April but must remain on a leash, and they are not permitted on the beach from May through September.
