Dog Friendly Hiking Trails in Port Askaig, UK

Fido is welcome to hit the trails with you for a hike at pet-friendly Divis and the Black Mountain in Belfast, UK. Dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times during their visit and are not permitted on the farmland due to grazing livestock. This unique ecosystem of bogs and ponds offers a variety of hiking trails with stunning views for you to enjoy with your best friend. Please follow the Countryside Code by cleaning up after your pets. There are two parking lots available, but note that the upper lot may be closed during inclement weather.

West Highland Way is dog-friendly. One of Scotland's best loved long distance walking routes, it's the perfect place to take Fido for a walk. The trail stretches 96 miles from Milngavie, north of Glasgow, to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, but you can choose your route.

Hillsborough Lake Trail is pet-friendly. The area consists of two red graded forest trails, allowing the casual walker access around the lake and to the back of the forest. The adjacent Hillsborough Fort is accessible from the lake path. Wildlife in the area includes waterfowl, swans and several varieties of duck.
