Puppy Up! Walk Belton, Texas

Luke Robinson, a native son of Texas lost his Great Pyrenees to cancer. Luke and his other two Great Pyrenees took a walk - a 2000 mile walk from Austin TX to Boston MA to bring awareness to canine cancer. He learned during his travels that canines and people get the same type of cancer so his focus went to comparative oncology. Comparative oncology focuses on the common links between canine and human cancers. After arriving safely to Boston in June of 2010 Luke felt if 2 dogs could walk 2000 miles to bring awareness then surely 2 million dogs could walk 2 miles to do the same thing. Luke founded the non profit organization '2 Million Dogs' so that we could continue to raise funds and bring awareness. Belton, Luke's hometown, will be hosting the very first Puppy Up! Walk to honor all those touched by cancer.
