Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon

Mark your calendars for Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon! This dog-friendly event will be held from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM on September 13, 2026 at Del Mar Dog Beach - North in Del Mar, CA. Admission is free, though there are entry fees for contests, board rentals, and canine life vest rentals. Visit Website

Description

This unique event raises funds for animals at Helen Woodward Animal Center! The activities include a dog surfing competition, interactive vendor booths, a canine costume contest, a dog agility course, music and summer fun! Surf contestants will participate in 10-minute heats based on weight class and are judged on length of ride, size of wave ridden, catching a critical part of the wave, and maneuvers.
