Dachshund Derby at Midwest Coast Brewing Company Dachshunds will race for the title at this exciting Dachshund Derby featuring separate competitions for puppies, adults, seniors and Dachshund mixes. Dogs must be pre-registered to compete, with heat winners advancing to category finals and an ultimate Grand Prize race. Heat winners will also have the opportunity to compete at the Chicago Bears NFL halftime show at Soldier Field. Pet Friendly Bark to Basics Bootcamp at Pup Social
Bark to Basics Bootcamp at Pup Social Build a strong foundation for lifelong success at this beginner-friendly training workshop designed for puppies, newly adopted dogs, and dogs needing a refresher on essential skills. Participants will work with a professional trainer on commands including sit, down, stay, place, leave it, focus, and name recognition through hands-on exercises tailored to each dog's skill level. Dog Admission Day at Morton Arboretum Pups are welcome to enjoy roaming the 16 miles of hiking trails around the Arboretum several times a year on select days! Dogs must be leashed at all times and have updated vaccinations and registrations. For the safety of both your pet and the natural environment, dogs aren't permitted off the marked trails. Please clean up after your pet; bags are available at the Visitor Center. See Details
Summer Concert Series at Fishel Park Leashed dogs (6' max leash) are welcome at this weekly outdoor concert series featuring live music performances across a variety of genres. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages, and there will also be vendors starting at 6 PM. Bark to School Bash at Pup Social Celebrate the end of summer with a back-to-school bash just for dogs! The event will feature school-themed activities, photo opportunities, games, an obstacle course, and off-leash play. Ashley Whippet Invitational — K-9 Frisbee World Championships The Ashley Whippet Invitational is a two-day, public K-9 frisbee (disc-dog) competition where dozens of human-and-dog teams compete and spectators are welcome.
