Restaurant Dog Policy
We were told by a local that in general, if a restaurant has a patio with a place where you can tie your dog up outside the gate, they will let you. Particularly along the riverwalk side. However, when we asked at Ed's Cantina they were very unfriendly and we couldn't find any other places with potential tables that we liked. We hear the summer 'rent-a-cops' are also very negative on dogs at dinner, making it harder for all. We advise getting take-out and finding place along the river walk-there are spots with open tables or benches, where you can eat and be near your dog. In general, we did not find Estes Park to be dog-friendly and we think this is in part because Rocky Mountain National Park (next door) is VERY un-friendly to dogs, so folks don't bring them along.
