We just returned from a two night stay at the Charleston Place hotel, the resrvation was booked through Bring Fido and the hotel advertised as "Pet Friendly".
The lodging was anything but pet friendly-for starters,no adjacent exercise area. The assigned room was directly across the hall from the freight elevator which was in use 24/7 by room service, housekeeping, maintenance etc.The constant banging of those doors was a major irritant to both of our dogs .When dining in the hotel, the dogs were put in their crates and evidently barked at the noise from the elevator, which caused the front desk to call and interrupt our meal. When we complained,we were informed that hotel policy is that one can NEVER leave their pets alone in the room, crate or not,but the hotel could provide "pet Sitters" at an additional charge.
The valet ,bellhop and front desk staffs were inadequate to cope with their crowds!
