The holiday home with direct access to the sea is located directly on the sea, in the immediate vicinity of the small fishing village of Mochlos on Crete. You can see the mountains of Crete and the Mirabello Bay. The house is built according to German standards (not a prefabricated house) with roller shutters and mosquito net doors. Due to the conventional construction, you always have a comfortable temperature in the house.
The plot ends in the sea!

The car can be picked up at the airport. Summer temperatures are often still found on Crete until mid-December. Crete is the southernmost island in Europe!

Sights: For hikers and nature lovers, the approximately 5km Richtis Gorge is recommended. Even in summer there is an approx. 20 meter high waterfall that invites you to take a refreshing dip.
Not far from Kavousi, about 20 km from the villa, there is the oldest olive tree in Crete, about 3,250 years old.
There are many villages worth seeing, but close to the villa is Lastros, a small village above Mochlos, on the national road 90/E75, halfway between the two roads that lead to Mochlos. Picturesque little mountain village with lots of flowers and scents, ...
Spinalonga Island: not far from Agios Nikolaos, Elounda, Plaka
The leper colony, the last in Europe, was established in the Venetian fortress. The sick restored the buildings and lived there from 1903 to 1957. The island, now uninhabited, is one of the main tourist attractions of the region.
Vaia Beach - Located in the extreme northeast of the island about 1½ hours from Mochlos the famous palm beach of Vai.
Kritsa village - 10 km from Agios Nikolaos.
It is a typical Cretan, nice, historically preserved or partially rebuilt village with narrow streets and picturesque squares.
The small church called Panagia Kera is one of the most important churches in Crete. Especially the paintings (frescoes) in the church are very famous.
Kritsa is known for its woven and crocheted cloths and blankets. Nowhere in Crete is this ancient craft cultivated as intensively as in Kritsa.
Ruins of Gournia: On the way to Agios Nikolaos are the ruins of Gournia, one should not be missed
The I had to say October 2019
We have been guests several times in a holiday home "Musuri" in Mochlos on the island of Crete. We would like to thank the S. family again for the personal approach and support. The Unterkauft guarantees relaxed, beautiful days and even in October we were able to swim in the sea with a water temperature of 26 degrees. The fact that the days are getting shorter during this time didn't matter to us at all. Everything is there to have a good time. The cleanliness and impeccable facilities of the house are particularly praiseworthy. Everything works. In the village are good, small restaurants, owner-managed, who are very concerned about the well-being of the guests. Sitting outside and chatting without a jacket is fine until 10 p.m
