Lowden Log Cabin

Set in Thornton Gore in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, this four-season log house is rustic and comfortable. It sits halfway up a grassy knoll, surrounded by open-field farm land and the White Mountain National Forest. Johnson Brook runs next to the dirt road. It has an open kitchen-dining area, a large living room with cathedral ceiling and a fieldstone fireplace. This is a non smoking house. In the area: Swimming holes in the river, Mirror Lake, mountain hiking trails. Canoe and fish the Pemigewasset River; bike the valley. Major cross-country and downhill ski centers at Loon Mountain, Cannon and Waterville Valley. In the summer, Loon Mountain provides archery, horseback riding, bicycle rentals, shooting range and more.
