Cold River Campground

Cold River Campground is a dog-loving vacation stop. Animals are welcome in all the facilities including The Hitching Post Country Store. Bring your person in to look around while the store clerk provides a treat. Pick up some ice cream, snacks, beverages, toys and souvenirs. After a long day of driving, enjoy a romp in our large, gated dog park, with double entry gates or go for a walk on wide trails in 54 acres of Maine forest. At the pavilion, listen to DJ or bands and munch on sausages at the seasonal camper sponsored breakfasts on holiday weekends. The campground is centrally located for easy day trips to Bangor, Bar Harbor or Katahdin so puppy snuggle time in the camper is not interrupted. During fur-baby nap time your human can enjoy the pool, game room, and free WIFI. The campground also has the smelly stuff like full hook up sites, dumping station and propane filling station. Dogs are welcome to stay in the lodging, Cabins, Glamp Tents, and furnished lodges for a cleaning fee. Cold River Campground is nestled in the woods and is home to many chipmunks, rabbits and squirrels so please stay on leash unless in the dog park.
