Savannas Park & Campground

The St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Department and its staff welcome you to Savannas Park & Campground, an outdoor recreation area providing camping, boating, fishing, and picnic facilities. Visit the Trading Post it is an original ""Cracker House"" that was relocated to the site and restored for use as an office; the structure was estimated to be built sometime between 1890-1912. Come sit on the wrap around porch and watch the wildlife or visit our gift shop for many one of a kind items. Covering 550 acres and five distinct biological communities, Savannas Park & Campground provide access to pine flatwoods, wet prairie, marsh, lake and scrub all in a single glance. With the goal to educate as well as recreate, the area provides interpretive trails on both land and water. Due to the unique biological and geographical features, Savannas Park & Campground received reserve status by the Florida Legislature in 1978. Savannas Park & Campground is perhaps the last most unique and pristine wilderness area in the United States.
