It is a fine example of a beautiful Elizabethan manor house nestling in the golden glow of the glorious Cotswold Hills. Perhaps the finest country house hotel near Cheltenham, it has retained its historic features and charming character and takes its name from the pre-Roman path, which runs besides the building, which dates from its construction in 1584.
