Swiss Chalet at Squaw Valley
Transport yourself to another time and place when you stay at this one-of-a-kind, pet-friendly Palisades Tahoe vacation home. Designed with the extended family in mind, this Bavarian-themed multi-unit property offers three stories and four bedrooms, with a game room and outdoor hot tub.
Upon entering this Olympic Valley retreat, you'll find yourself in the heart of the main living space. High wood-beamed ceilings, comfortable leather furnishings, a stone hearth, and woven rugs create a warm atmosphere reminiscent of a Swiss ski cabin. A flat-screen TV positioned above the inviting fireplace allows you to catch the excitement of the big game in the living room, while a dedicated media room just around the corner ensures the little ones are entertained with a movie of their own. Step onto the back deck overlooking the creek and unwind in the private hot tub while listening to the soothing sounds of nature.
The chef's kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a walk-in pantry, and a delightful breakfast bar for three. It seamlessly connects to the spacious dining area, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast while taking in the alpine scenery through the large picture windows.
Upstairs, the primary ensuite offers a tranquil escape, furnished with a king bed, a comfortable reading chair, forest views, and French doors leading to an outdoor deck. Before retiring for the night, indulge in a relaxing soak in the ensuite bathtub. Another ensuite bedroom upstairs boasts two twin beds, a built-in queen bed, and a spacious private balcony. On the lower level of the home, discover a generously sized queen bedroom with a desk and access to the grounds, alongside a bunk room and a full bath. And don't miss the dedicated game room, featuring a foosball table, flat-screen TV, and ample seating for everyone.

Olympic Valley is just as spectacular in summer. Located at the base of Palisades Tahoe, you can play a round at the Links Golf Course or bike along the scenic Truckee River Trail. The Village offers guided hikes and the chance to conquer the Tahoe Via Ferrata. Take the Tram to High Camp for roller skating, disc golf, or geocaching, and stop by Granite Bistro for lunch and stunning Sierra Mountain views at 8,400 feet.
For hiking enthusiasts, the Shirley Canyon Trail is a must-do, with waterfalls, granite boulders, wildflowers, and the picturesque Shirley Lake.
