We are 3 blocks from all Downtown Hospitals and medical services. Perfect for traveling medical nurses and personnel! If you seek quiet, this is it !
All utilities included ! Free streaming tv and wifi ! Top floor views with sound proofing and privacy ! Assigned numbered covered garage parking space. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, blender, toaster oven, and plenty of plates, sliverware, wine glasses. Enjoy mornings and evenings on your huge 17 ft balcony with pub style table and love seat on this top 9th floor condo, as cruise ships and sailboats glide by. The largest south Florida Saturday outdoor market is 2 blocks away. Wonderful Publix grocery store is also 2 blocks away. In fact, everything is walking distance, so we gave up our car and use Uber, anywhere in DT St. Pete.
We are 3 blocks from the Bay, even closer to a boating marina, and 2 blocks from the world renowned Salvador Dali Museum. We are 5 minutes walking distance to shops, parks, fast food, fine dining, bay walks and the center of wonderful downtown St Petersburg with more museums. Beautiful little University commissary open to public, classes and gym available for small fee. Bike rentals are across the street from our front door. Evening walks thru the little South Florida University anex campus are just across the street, as is the campus bookstore and coffee shop. The campus walkways and bike paths are well lit and loaded with beautiful flora and fauna. A pub is on campus with live music Wednesdays. AIRPORTS: Less than 30 minutes to Tampa Bay Airport (TPA). Also Clearwater St. Pete regional airport (PIE) is 20 minutes away, serving the Tampa Bay Area. It is nine miles north of downtown St. Petersburg, seven miles southeast of Clearwater, and seventeen miles southwest of Tampa.
RENTAL CAR: In addition to airports, Enterprise Car Rental in St. Pete is 10 minutes away and has free pick up service. Very reasonable per week, or they have monthly also. But honestly, try without a car first !
GREAT LOCATION: Our home is close to ST PETE BEACH, NAPLES , SARASOTA. and CLEARWATER BEACHES. There is a SunRunner bus just south of the University book store, on 3rd St, half a block. For less than $3 tap & pay, it takes you to St Pete Beach (and plenty of stops along the way) in a Bus only fast lane. City buses will take you to Central Ave and then to Clearwater Beach! Busch Gardens in TAMPA is less than half hour away. Ft. Myers beach, Siesta Key, Sanabel Islands are just a few hours away. Unlimited shopping, antiquing, and cultural activities available within an hour's drive.
SHOPPING: Charming local shops in town. Cinemas, shopping, dining at SunDial Shopping center is 10 minutes walk. Several Grocery Stores (closest 2 blocks), Drug Stores, Banks, Wal-Mart and Home Depot within 2-5 miles. St Petersburg is a great little community, you won't want to leave! Uber drivers bring Tampa folks over here for nightlife and dining ! Uber around town for $7 ! But there is a lot going on over the bridge in Tampa also.... Take the Bay shuttle and explore Cigar City, where turn of century Cuban cigar makers set up and still make them, in the renovated dining and bar neighborhood. Book a 4 day cruise in Tampa !
There is also a ferry tide to Tampa, walking distance away near the Albert Whittag Airport ! Explore Tampa for a fun day !
BOATING: Bring your power boat or rent one nearby at the Harborage Marina (5 minutes away) from Freedom Boat Rentals. Also rentals of kayaks, small hoby cats, 5 minutes away. Other marinas and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club are downtown, 10 minutes away.
GOLF: It's Florida. Of course ! 3 miles away.
RESTAURANTS: Everywhere ! And local micro-brew pubs for beer, more than a dozen of them, downtown and close in.
Events : There's always something going on! First Fridays, closed off Central Ave has a street party every month. Check the Downtown mag or St Pete What's happening on the web. Tampa Bay Rays, baseball is 10 minutes away. Tampa Bay Buccaneers football and Lightening hockey teams are just across the Bay. Rowdies professional soccer is 3 blocks away.
