Sandpiper Cottage by the Sea
Experience a romantic holiday in nature, less than 20 meters from the beautiful Breton coast. The house borders the coastal path (Sentier Cotier) and is ideally located between dramatic rock formations and endless sea views. The highest lighthouse in Europe (Phare d'isle Vierge) is just around the corner and is a breathtaking sight with the beautiful sunsets.
Due to the unique environment, which is so close to the sea and nature, the house was designed to be environmentally friendly and respects the environment. It is therefore important for us to point out that Sandpiper Cottage is partly self-sufficient: electricity is generated by solar panels; Heating and cooking with gas and the cottage is connected to a biological septic tank.
Sandpiper Cottage itself is a cozy vacation home that was built in the early 1980s and recently renovated into a modern one. The living room is dominated by a large, transparent gas fireplace made of natural stone, which can heat the entire house. Temperatures in Plouguerneau are generally mild even in winter, but there's nothing more romantic on a cool evening than sitting in front of an inviting fireplace.
The area surrounding the house is a paradise for nature lovers, ideal for enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee. At the end of the path, climb the Meledan (large rock in Breton) in front of the house and enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of the sea and the coast. Walk 1 minute to the beach and you'll be greeted by seagulls and (if you're lucky) sandpipers!
