WHERE WE ARE:
Solcio di Lesa is located on Lake Maggiore, 60 km from Milan, in a magnificent inlet between Meina and Lesa (the Gulf of Solcio), 1 km from Lesa and just 10 minutes by car from both Arona and Stresa. In Stresa, the classical music and jazz concerts organised from July to September (dates to be defined) as part of the famous Stresa Festival are not to be missed.
A short distance from the flat is the Solcio marina where it is possible to hire sailing or motor boats and/or practice Wakeboarding (a dynamic and fun sport). Golf courses are within 9 km.
OUR HOLIDAY FLAT:
The fully furnished 80 sqm flat is located on the second floor in a complex of mini-apartments overlooking the lake, 50 m from the lake; it has a large, bright living room from which you can access the terrace overlooking the marina; the terrace is equipped with table and chairs so you can have delicious breakfasts as well as tasty lunches and dinners in total relaxation and privacy.
In the living room, which has a large window with a lake view, there is a double sofa bed, three comfortable armchairs, a bookcase stocked with books in Italian, English, French and German, a television and a dining table for six people.
The kitchen has been recently renovated and is equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave oven, refrigerator with freezer, set of cooking pans, coffee maker (moka), Minipimer 5 Vario Multiquick (blends, chops, whips); kitchen scales and 8 kg washing machine.
The bedroom has a large window so it is very bright and spacious: it comfortably fits a double bed, a bunk bed and a 5-door wardrobe; in summer the room is pleasantly cool (there is a fan if needed!). electrical sockets near the beds.
The bathroom has a window, and there is toilet, shower and bidet.
In the storeroom we collect the terrace umbrella, deck chairs, hoover, brooms and cleaning products, clothesline, iron, ironing board, fan.
Free car parking is available in the fenced communal garden.
The flat is on the 2nd floor, no lift. The staircase to the flat is very comfortable, in total there are 40 steps.
Maximum occupancy: 5 people.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: in the bedroom 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed; in the living room 1 sofa bed x 2 persons (cm142x195).
SHEETS and TOWELS: We provide one set of towels per guest (personal, face and shower). There is no weekly change. Bed linen and towels provided at an extra charge of EUR 15 per person.

The bus stop is 50 m. away; The Bar, Tabacchi, Lotto and the Hairdresser - beauty centre are 70 m. away; The Parish Church is 70 m. away;
At the harbour, the fishermen's kiosk is the ideal stop to buy fresh fish from the lake caught by the Cooperativa Pescatori di Solcio (Solcio Fishermen's Cooperative) or to enjoy a freshly cooked fried fish. Also within a 100-metre radius there are 2 Pizzeria and 4 Restaurants where you can taste lake fish dishes and drink good wine.

We are close to Camping di Solcio.
Public equipped bathing beach ( Playa de Erno) 800 m. away, with a beach bar, showers, toilets and chairs and sunbeds for hire.
SPORTS available: sailing and wakeboarding at Solcio; E-boat rental at Cantieri di Solcio;
SUP - SUP Club in Lesa: courses, rental and tours; E-foil with electric drive by Lakenergy: unique experience - to learn to fly and surf on water.
Tennis, padel and swimming in Lesa (1.5 km) where there is the Sporting Club: well-equipped fitness centre, summer and winter tennis and padel courts, summer Olympic swimming pool, gym.
Golf courses less than 15 km away (Stresa 18 holes at 7.5 km);
In winter, skiing at Mottarone (altitude 1,492 m) 21 km away, or at Domobianca or other resorts in the Ossola Valley.
A short presentation of Solcio di Lesa:
SOLCIO di Lesa is located on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore between Meina and Lesa. It is a small fishing village with a medieval feel, with narrow, stepped alleys and a picturesque harbour that the luxury yachts moored there resemble a seaside resort. It is home to the Cantieri Nautici di Solcio, which sells and repairs and rents out motor boats for pleasure boating.
In Solcio there is the fish hatchery established with the aim of encouraging the reproduction of traditional fish species present in Lake Maggiore.
The 19th-century church of S. Rocco, built on a 17th-century oratory, houses valuable works of art and has a mosaic by Giovanni Sgorlon on its façade.
Siro Penagini (1885-1952), an important avant-garde exponent of 20th-century Italian figurative art, lived and worked in Solcio.
Wandering through the narrow streets of the old town centre, you reach the churchyard of the Oratory of St. Anthony, from which there is an excellent view of the Gulf below.

Solcio di Lesa is located in the heart of this incomparable tourist area and is the starting point for wonderful excursions, but also an excellent starting point for unforgettable trips to nearby places such as Meina, Belgirate, Stresa (9 km away), the Borromean Islands, Mount Mottarone (1500 m), from where you can enjoy the spectacular panorama of Lake Maggiore and other 6 Alpine lakes. Pombia with Safari Park and then Angera with Rocca, Vigezzo Valley and the thermal baths of Premia, Val Formazza and the waterfalls of Toce, the Sanctuary of Re, Macugnaga and Monte Rosa, Lake Orta, and then the famous cities of northern Italy: Milan, Turin, Genova.

For trekking enthusiasts, there are numerous recommended routes in the area.
For those who are not trained in trekking but wish to walk safely, I recommend the new pedestrian link between Solcio di Lesa, Lesa and Belgirate: a very pleasant walk!
Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of countless opportunities in both summer and winter: Swimming, canoeing, sailing, water skiing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and snowshoeing.
For music fans: The world-famous Stresa Music Weeks: Stresa Festival from July to September (dates to be defined).
For cinema fans: The Locarno Film Festival in August (Locarno is 43 km away).
For theatre enthusiasts: Arona - Theatre City on the Water - artistic director Dacia Maraini.
For shopping enthusiasts: there are numerous outlets and factory outlets of prestigious brands within a few kilometres of our flat (e.g. Herno clothing a few metres from our flat).
