Huron Time
Step into Fall at 'Huron Time,' a beautifully styled cottage in the charming village of Bayfield. Embrace the fresh air, bright spaces, and cozy elegance of this idyllic retreat.
Welcome to "Huron Time," a beach cottage for 5 guests on the closest street to the lake in beautiful Bayfield! Stroll to the lake from one of several access points on this quiet street, or walk just a few minutes to Main St.! Then come home to your roomy, thoughtfully designed rental.
Grill out on the deck. Play a game of bocce or croquet in the flat, grassy lawn. And gather around the firepit for s'mores as the sun goes down. Bring your pup, too! We're dog-friendly.
INSIDE:
Step into your spacious, modern cottage after a sunny day on Lake Huron. Sink into the plush, sectional sofa and queue up your favorite favorite movie on the SmartTV. The owners of Huron Time carefully chose the interior design details—clean lines, lots of pretty plants, macrame, wicker, crisp white and soothing blue tones—to create a gorgeous, boho-modern backdrop for your vacation.
The living area opens to the fully equipped, modern kitchen with stainless appliances, including a double fridge, dishwasher and electric range. A quartz island provides plenty of prep space, and two bar stools let you chat with the chef while they work on dinner. A dining table for 6 is the perfect setting for your group feast, board game night, or catch-up session with friends over a bottle of wine. Turn on the gas fire feature to add to the cozy-cottage ambiance!
OUTSIDE:
Double doors in the living area let in sunlight and lead out to the deck and backyard. Bring a plate of burgers and veggies to the cherry-red propane girl on the deck, overlooking the wide, grassy lawn. We provide the yard games, like bocce and croquet, for your group tournament.
When sunset paints the sky in watercolor pinks and oranges, stoke a fire in the backyard firepit and gather on Adirondack chairs to share stories of the day and watch the stars come out.
The property is also within walking distance to all the Tuyll street beach accesses. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.
SLEEPING SPACES
Huron Time has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. One bedroom indulges with a King-size bed. The full bath features a jetted tub to massage your muscles and a rainfall showerhead to envelop you in a steamy shower. The vanity has two sinks and plenty of space for all of your personal care products.
There's also an additional half-bath/powder room.

Parking is limited to 3 vehicles
Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.
Note: All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required.

Visit during the off-season to catch favorite annual events like VetteFest or for a girl's getaway weekend—we're happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, shops, and yoga classes.
With wooded trails, scenic country vistas, and stunning Lake Huron, Bayfield is a beautiful place to explore no matter the season. Bring your hiking boots and plan a trip during leaf-peeping season for a display of color, or come enjoy the quiet of winter and crunch through the snow in evergreen forests.

I'm Jennifer, I started CottageStays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace. I've never forgotten how lucky I am to call Lake Huron home. Now more than ever, everyone is in need of the kind of peace and quiet that escaping to the lake can bring. Our Winter Weather Cancellation Policy is designed with your safety in mind. If winter conditions make travel unsafe or if there are road closures preventing you from reaching the cottage, you have flexible options:
❄ Delay Your Arrival – If the cottage is available, you can shift your stay by a day or two.
❄ Reschedule – Move your booking to a future date that works for you.
❄ Full Refund – If rescheduling isn’t possible, you can cancel for a full refund.
