House in Rich Nature with Sauna
Here you will find relaxing tranquility in the natural landscape of the Schorfheide-Chorin in Chorin monastery village at the southern tip of the Uckermark. Primeval deciduous and mixed forests, clear lakes, a glacial embossed hilly moraine landscape, rare animal and plant species (Crane, Eagle, Tree Frog, etc.) invite walking and cycling is available (bike rental in town) along well-marked paths with surprising observations of nature , In the immediate vicinity is also the National Park Lower Oder Valley with its naturbelassenenen Oder river floodplains, a UNESCO World Heritage Grumsiner forest with its primeval beech forests, the ecovillage Brodowin with Demeter eco-agriculture, farm shop and seven lakes. Also the spa Templin and many other attractive destinations (z. B. to Poland in the former Neumark) are not far away.
Chorin is a small village (550 inhabitants) and the district of seven villages (including Ecovillage Brodowni) Existing large community Chorin in Brandenburg. The place is quiet, no through traffic, but a rail connection (direction Eberswalde, Berlin or Angermünde, Schwedt, Stralsund). There are three restaurants with good food, a medical practice, bicycle rental. The village is an ideal base for walking and cycling in all directions, for day trips by train or car (z. B. also to Stettin).
The surrounding area is a hilly, glacial embossed Endmoranenlandschaft, with an original deciduous and mixed forests, moors and many small Great Lakes (Parsteinsee, Werbellinsee, Grimnitzsee etc.) with natural bathing possibilities, many small 'sleepy' villages.
The house was built in local style and according to ecological principles in 1999. On the ground floor (see Fig. Photos), is a großzügigier tiled living room (35 sqm) with integrated fully equipped kitchen and a log cabin sauna. Here is also a bunk room (Dielung) for two persons are (mostly for the kids used) and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs (s. Photos) you will find a living room (25 sqm) and a bedroom with double bed. The floors are made of rustic Eichendielung. The lounge can be used as an additional bedroom for 2 or 3 people. It offers a wide view on the hills, on grazing cattle on cranes, storks, eagles ...
The house is modern equipped log cabin sauna, fireplace, ceramic hob, dishwasher, satellite TV, CD player, central heating .... At FH is a cozy place with garden furniture and barbecue. But any other place in the large garden can be used by guests.
The FH is quietly located in the old village, but the street is remote part of the garden of the former farmstead on a 10 000 square meters of land. In the garden you will find old apple trees, interesting plants and in a traditional country style landscaped garden organically farmed vegetables. There you can also list reap fresh spices for your needs. Behind the orchard feed my happy, colorful birds flock and the cows and calves of the neighbors. Breakfast eggs from my chickens, there are eco-free and apples, of course. On the Grunstück is also located a dismantled old stone barn, where I live.
Here it is beautiful in all seasons, not just in the summer. Also the autumn with its foliage, its mists over the lakes, swamps and bogs, the calls of up to departure south gathering cranes. Especially relaxing hikes are also in the clear frosty winter air. After that, then a visit to the spacious log cabin sauna ...
