We are a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit no-kill organization dedicated to changing the lives of neglected, abandoned, & abused animals four paws at a time. We are dedicated to providing, promoting and advancing the humane protection, care and treatment of animals. We are committed to saving animals in Detroit and the surrounding area by training them to ensure they are adoptable and then finding them homes.

This nonprofit organization focuses on raising awareness of the mounting homeless and stray dog epidemic in Detroit, along with advocating for humane rescue alternatives such as no-kill sheltering, foster care and adoptions, pet identification and healthy pet population control through spay and neutering. Detroit Dog Rescue also specializes in community outreach, and work closely with local, city and statewide organizations in order to educate and involve people in this cause.
