Directory of Dog Trainers in Vernon Bridge, PE

Looking to blend sheepdog herding lessons with a beach vacation? Searching for your next working Border Collie? Pembroke Farms PEI, located in Pembroke, Prince Edward Island offers all of this and more! Herding Dogs PEI offers lessons and clinics for beginning handlers and their sheep dogs with shepherd, trainer, and animal behaviorist Lorna McMaster. Lorna’s gentle training techniques and experience with all types and levels of herding dogs is a great way to explore this working relationship with your sheepdog to see if herding is for you. Though Lorna breeds, raises and trains Border Collies herself, she works with all breeds of well mannered sheepdogs. Lorna’s training flock features Monadnock Mini sheep, which have been bred specifically for their willingness to work with sheepdogs, their high quality curly wool, their sweet and gentle dispositions, and their small manageable size that make them ideal for beginning shepherds. In 2010, Lorna imported her flock of Minis from her farm in New Hampshire to her farm on PEI, and has been enjoying working with Canadian Maritime sheepdog handlers ever since. Whether you join one of their clinics, go for a private lesson, or plan a beach vacation/dog training intensive for yourself and your dog, Pembroke Farms PEI is there to help you get on your way to developing a successful working relationship with your sheepdog.
