Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Puerto Rico with your pet:
- Dogs and cats entering Puerto Rico do not need an import permit. However, they must be accompanied by a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian that states the animal did not arrive from a country quarantined for rabies.
- Pets over 4 months old must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations and be accompanied by proof.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to Puerto Rico do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
