we all enjoyed our visit to the 1776 Log Cabin. The weather was cool so we were delighted to learn we could sit in a booth on an enclosed porch by a little fireplace. Food was good, service was excellent and prices were reasonable. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Come because it’s dog-friendly… come back because the food is excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. (Thanks Shawndell!) they are not serving on the patio, but there are a number of tables in the lobby where you can eat with your pup.

The Frisky Otter has a very nice and spacious outdoor dining area. The wait staff was very attentive and brought a bowl of water for our dogs. We would definitely go back when in Ely.

Like many National Parks, Voyageurs is not especially dog friendly. They are allowed on only one of the Park’s trails. It’s a beautiful water-based park (and they can go on your boat with you) but not much to do on shore.

We visited in September and leashed dogs are allowed on the beach. Not sure if this is seasonal. Beautiful uncrowded beach.

we were pleasantly surprised to snare an outside table around lunchtime on a beautiful fall weekend. liked the beer, excellent French fries, other food was good. Wait staff was competent if not overly friendly. no water for pups. I suspect this patio would be very hot on a summer day.

every dish we tried was spot on. fabulous.
