We love this reservoir but… it is not open to dogs when officially open (they make you turn around or chase you out.) When closed and unmanned, the scenery is beautiful. The path is probably about a mile and steep/icy sometimes. We’ve ventured out on the ice when there are ice fisherman there but you can also hear hunters so… idk.

The trail going up (part of it is called Jan, part called Zion) is to the top and is steep, rocky. The trail to the garden is called something else but it is much shorter and not as steep. We visited in March, so a bit of snow, mud and slippery leaves. Would love to go in the fall, the pic looks amazing (and the view was!)
