I absolutely love taking my dog here. The quiet and lowkey environment allows for good public training with minimal distractions aside from the occasional individual. If you have a well-behaved dog who’s easily distracted by other canines, this is a good environment to work with him or her without that distraction. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Staff is always friendly, and the wide aisles and open environment allows for good training with a good deal of noise and smells for your pup to check out.

Good food with adequate outdoor seating for you and your pup to enjoy a bite together. The patio can get a bit crowded at times, so if your dog is in any way reactive or excitable consider checking how busy it is first (and be warned, it gets busy frequently).

My pups absolutely love the space they get to run around in in this park. There is the occasional reactive dog and it gets busy at times, but it is an excellent spot nonetheless. And hey, if the park doesn’t work out for you, take them on one of the many walking trails within the park! I’d definitely recommend this park.

Every experience I’ve had with the FHS has been extremely positive. Over the years I have volunteered here, fostered several dogs, and even adopted my two dogs. The staff is knowledgeable of their animals and truly want what’s best for animals and adopters alike. I can’t recommend this shelter enough!
