They charge a pet fee. Understandable, most do. However, I don’t think most motels offer roaches in the shower. This one did. I was too tired to switch rooms. When checking out, I mentioned the roaches. They didn’t seem too concerned. Needless to say, I didn’t partake in the free breakfast. Also, the door had no chain, only the lock on the door with a deadbolt that barely went in the door jamb.

Motel was clean. Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast very good first morning, not so good second morning. Sausage gravy and biscuits were cold, even though gravy was in a crockpot. The most annoying thing about the motel, which advertises pet friendly, is that there is no place on the property to walk the dog. All blacktop, no grass. The only grassy area was across a busy highway, and that “grassy” area was filled with cacti. At least it was clean - the place I’m staying at tonight has roaches

More dirt than grass. Very dusty.
Water system is supplied by rain barrels. No rain, no water. It hasn’t rained for days, so ...
Bring your own water
A lot of dogs. One (a pit bull) was aggressive when we were there. Took our dog’s ball and snarled/snapped at our dog when she tried to get it. Owners tried to intervene but dog not well-behaved. Plenty of other dogs, all ok.

I’d definitely recommend La Quinta. Friendly and accommodating.

Large play area for large dogs. Plenty of room to run. Some shelters/shade. Water. Restrooms nearby.
