Our mission: The Humane Society for Greater Nashua advocates for and enhances the lives of animals entrusted to our care while educating our community to strengthen the human animal bond.
HSFN is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been supporting Greater Nashua since our inception in 1900. We have a staff of 25 people who, along with our volunteers, help us care for and raise needed funds for the over 2,500 pets we house each year. We are overseen by a volunteer Board of Trustees who provide leadership and guidance. We hope you will stop by our shelter to visit our pets and learn more about what we do and the services we provide to the community. We are actively working to make sure we fulfill the needs of the 16 towns that we serve, and look forward to expanding our services to cover affordable spay/neuter, vaccine, microchips, and more for local pet owners.
