They allow big dogs

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown

It’s difficult to find a hotel that accepts larger dogs -- 35 lb cut offs seem to be the norm when you call a ‘pet friendly’ to find out they have weight restrictions. Anyway, this hotel had large rooms with plenty of space, comfortable beds and a large sofa. The hotel is essential and has been remodeled. Location is quick in and out for highway access, and when in Albuquerque, there is really no ‘good area’ to stay, but most hotels have security patrolling the parking lots, and this location did.

We had luggage stowed on our travel hitch and all was safe overnight. For the price of the room, the very cost effective charge of $25 for 2 dogs over 50 pounds, it was a win for us. We will most likely stay here again on our travel route. Pro tip: Grab dinner before checking into hotel. Once you are settled in, you can’t leave dogs unattended and the meal delivery order system stops at 8:30. That was a bust for us trying to order at 8pm with technical issues with the restaurant. Just grab your food to go before you check in.
