Ted's Most BestWe found Ted’s while walking around in Athens near the university. Their patio out in the front was small but offered great atmosphere. Food was good, and our dog was given a bowl of water. The local craft beer was on tap and very cold
A Clemson experience!
The Esso ClubThe Esso Club was a must-do on our trip to the GA/SC area. We were thrilled that it is dog-friendly, so that we could experience it! The server was attentive and prompt. We each had a “meat and two” sides meal. I had fish with beans and greens. Local beer on tap. Hank enjoyed waiting for bits of food to come his way. The patio was in front of the building, with a covered raised deck off to the side. It was Spring Break when we visited, so it was not busy.
Off the beaten track, nice setting!
The Alibi Bar & GrillThe Alibi has a nice patio that allows you to bring your dog. It has sunshades for comfort and good separation between tables to keep your pup from bothering other customers. Great standard bar and grill menu with a few ethnic dishes, as well (shawarma, for example). Food was good, service was friendly, prices were average ($12.95 for most sandwiches and burgers). The host brought our dog a bowl of water, waitress was attentive. It looked like they have a small area for sitting outside when it is cold; there is a metal roof outside area with plastic side curtains. Only complaint is that it is located on the corner of a rural but busy intersection, so if your dog is afraid of the loud sound of a big pickup truck or semi roaring by, you might want to opt for somewhere else, or order takeout. Fairly frequent occurrence, did not detract from our enjoyment of the restaurant.
