Dog Friendly brewery in a very pretty town
Saltbox Brewing CompanySalt box brewing offers a K9 friendly patio with water bowls and the option to purchase a “Canine Pale Ale” which is a cute dog-friendly broth-made brew for your pups to enjoy a cold one with their best friend. The only downside was it was a hot day and the patio doesn’t offer a ton of shade, but normally it wouldn’t be super hot in this area of Nova Scotia. The beer was good and there was a food truck outside, although I didn’t have any food from it.

Serene Winery friendly to Humans and Doggos alike
Mercator VineyardsMercator is a nice quiet stop along the wine trail in Nova Scotia. Very dog friendly on the outdoor patio, where they provide doggie wine tasting (water) and dog treats. Great wine and good people. Highly Recommend

Beautiful winery that is friendly to pups
Benjamin BridgeBenjamin Bridge is a newer winery in the Nova Scotia wine valley that offers very pretty views and dog friendly staff. Dogs are allowed outside at the picnic tables near their patio bar and they will bring out water for them. You can take your pooch on a walk through the vines for exercise and he/she is sure to get a lot of pets from the dog loving staff. The wine is also delicious, and I recommend the Nova 7 if you like mildly sweet wines!

East Coast Cider CompanyThis cidery/brewery not only has several great options for beers and ciders, but it has a small cafe next door that will deliver food right to your seat. They are super dog friendly and love to visit with the furry friends you bring in. Nice park/old fort with walking trails just across the street to walk your pup after a relaxing afternoon at the pub. Highly recommend!

Dog Friendly Winery
Bear River Vineyards & WineryBeautiful winery with a great history in the Annapolis Valley. Friendly dogs are allowed in the tasting room and the outdoor property, but aren’t allowed on the winery tour due to safety reasons. The good news is that you can still taste all of the wines and enjoy a glass with your pup right by your side.

Most dog friendly brewery in Canada I’ve been to yet
Spindrift Brewing CompanySpindrift is a very dog friendly brewery located in Dartmouth, NS. Our pups were greeted by their staff with a bowl of water and lots of snuggles. They sell canine pale ale so your best friend can have a brew with you while you sip on their very tasty variety of beers. They were especially gracious when my little one stepped in his water bowl and made a big mess. Highly recommend for dog and beer lovers alike!

Cidery and Winery friendly to all, K9 and human alike
Casa Nova Fine BeveragesCasa Nova is a small cidery and winery located in a picturesque rural Canadian town. They offer tasting of all 13 of their beverages and a small shop of locally made goods. The guy working in the tasting room shut the doors to the other rooms and let our puppies run around the tasting room off leash after he brought them out some water. They had a great time! They also have a very nice looking large porch that you can enjoy a glass or bottle on, but the weather wasn’t great for us to be able to enjoy that part of it.

Ultra pet and human friendly
Yellow House on the HillThis Airbnb is a great place to stay with pups. The owners are super friendly and generally onsite to help with anything you may need. They also cook breakfast for you every morning and it is better than most restaurants! They have a small deaf dog named Moe who is very sweet, but that obviously means that your dogs must get along with other dogs. He stays in his own part of the house for the most part but occasionally will be outside hanging out with his mom and dad. The owners have a very nice garden area with a fire pit in which they build a fire most nights and there is also a hot tub there for use. The downstairs airbnb that we stayed in offered everything you would need for a stay with a full kitchenette, washer & dryer, and a nice bathroom with great water pressure. I would happily stay here again!

Brewery/Restaurant in Kingston, NS
Roof Hound Brewing Co.Brewery with great beers and possibly good food (looked good but we didn’t have any) located centrally in Kingston, NS. Though their logo has a dog on it, they aren’t super dog friendly. Their outdoor patio is dog friendly, however it is very small and located just next to a busy street. Unfortunately, it is loud due to traffic and the dust gets picked up and in your face every time a car passes. As far as dog friendliness goes, there isn’t really a place for the pup to hang out without being on the sidewalk where people are walking or right under your feet under the table. It is a place to go to get food and drinks if you have your pup with you, as there aren’t a ton of dog friendly places nearby, but it isn’t super “dog-friendly.” Great beer though!

Great hotel for dogs!
Fundy Complex Dockside SuitesI can’t say enough about how nice Fundy Complex Dockside Suites is for both pups and humans. The rooms are incredibly nice and spacious. In any other town, you’d pay at least double for a room so nice. Each suite has a beautiful balcony with 1 in a million views. Even though the property states they change a $25ca pet fee a night per pet, we were not charged. The hotel is connected to two separate restaurants and bars that have world-class food. I can’t recommend this place enough for a few day getaway with your pup.
