Go early

Did not acknowledge our dog at all. Server seemed annoyed that she wanted to say "hello". Chicken breast for our pup was like shoe leather and not sliced. We got there at 5pm and they were out of spaetzel and the bread dumplings. Schnitzel was good but the portions of kraut and red cabbage were sparse for the price. I do recommend the apfel streudel. They do not serve beer or alcohol of any kind. Not a true Bavarian experience.

Cowboys & Angels Restaurant and Bar

Dog-friendly would be more like dog-tolerant. Brought my own water bowl, luckily. Acted more like our dog was an annoyance rather than welcomed. We have a Weimaraner so she's larger than the pocket dogs we saw but that shouldn't matter because she's well-behaved. It's a tourist destination so, as expected, the food is expensive for what you get. The fried chicken was good but the mashed potatoes tasted like from a box. Don't think we'll be back.

Discrimination

Chase Suite Hotel Rocky Point Tampa

I heard the manager tell the guest before me that they weren't busy yet the best room they could give us, because we had a dog, was a room with a view of the noisy apartment complex behind us. The only grass they have is near the front entrance. There were rocks everywhere else. The room we were given smelled horrible. You have to pay $150 refundable deposit plus a pet fee, for what? They must pocket what they charge because they aren't using the pet cleaning fee to clean the room. Will never stay here again. If they claim to be "pet friendly" they should set aside rooms with decent views for pet owners and not treat us like 2nd class citizens.

Oystercatchers

Oystercatchers claims to be pet-friendly but they acted as though they had never seen a dog before. I had to ask the server for a bowl of water and it came in the form of a plastic container that they would use for take out. It slid around as my dog tried to drink from it and water sloshed everywhere. She ended up laying in the water and I had just paid $60 to have her groomed. The servers kept their distance. Not friendly with her like other restaurants we've been to. Just not a good experience. Won't be back.
