Attentive Service and Good Location
Baymont by Wyndham Madison West/Middleton WI WestThe hotel is tucked away among office buildings and, on a weekend, at least, was quiet while still being close to options for gas and food. The attendant at the front desk was friendly, efficient, and incredibly patient when I couldn't get my room key working. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of grass around the property to walk my dog. I really couldn't have asked for anything more from my stay. Well worth the (very reasonable!) cost.
Large, Comfortable Room and Good Location
Comfort Suites Outlet CenterNo complaints with our stay at Comfort Suites Biltmore Square Mall! The room itself was large with plenty of space to play a quick game of fetch with my 20-lb dog and work off some excess energy from our long road trip. There's plenty of grass surrounding the property for your dog to do her business. Staff was friendly and efficient, and the free breakfast until 9:30 a.m. was a plus. For human travelers, you're only about a 12-15 minute drive into the center of Asheville, so exploring the city's sights is easy to do. I would certainly stay here again.
The Basics at a Reasonable Price
Best Western MurfreesboroI stopped in at the Best Western Chaffin Inn for a night on a road trip south. The hotel is conveniently located to the highway, gas stations, and fast food restaurants. The first room to which I was given a key seemed like it was already occupied--the bed was unmade and there was trash on the dresser--but the attendant very quickly found me a new room, which was appreciated.
It was a no-smoking room but things still smelled a little bit smoky, although not so bad as to disrupt my stay. There was a bit of green space around the back of the hotel, between the Best Western and I think the Days Inn adjacent, where my dog was able to relieve himself. Some other hotel guests let their dogs roam off-leash; just something to keep in mind.
The free breakfast included some sausage links, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, and fruit, as well as apple and orange juice and coffee. Overall, no frills, but a comfortable enough stay for me and my pup at a reasonable price (by today's standards!).
