Is it dog friendly?
The Barnaclewe stopped in on a rainy day and I asked if it was ok to bring our pup in (I always ask just in case). the bartender said there were already two dogs inside and he didn’t allow more than that, and that he’s “not supposed to have dogs inside but apparently it said they were allowed on the internet”. It is also super small and tight, if you have a larger dog it would probably be in the way.
Watch out for Tuesday nights
The Portholeawesome spot with good food. we went on a Tuesday night, they have live music and a crowded outdoor bar. to get to the outdoor seating you’ll need to walk your dog through the outdoor bar which was really loud and crowded. our dog didn’t care but something to consider with more timid dogs or dogs sensitive to loud noises.
Awesome spot!
Maine Beer Companybeautiful patio with covered or uncovered seating. pup got lots of pets and was comfortable on a warmer day. beer and pizza are tasty, recommend a reservation so you can get a spot outside. gets busy around 4pm even during weekdays.
Indoor hang!
Mad River Distillers BurlingtonGreat spot for indoor seating with the pup. Tasty drinks and friendly staff, and a cool floor for the dog (staff said the downstairs tenant blasts the AC so dogs always love the floor). definitely recommend, especially if it’s hot!
