Nice surprise
Grants Dog ParkNice dog park. we we’re staying at a local hotel and hunted down the dog park. it’s up on the hill so we had to follow gps. glad we did. there was snow on the ground in areas and our Sophie had never seen the cold white stuff. being from Yuma. Poop bags available, paved paths, benches, and a porta potty for us. We pass this way a couple times a year and will make it a destination.
Disappointed
Quality Inn & Suites GrantsThe room door wasn’t closed when we got to our room which makes me apprehensive. The toiletries were used and gummy, floor needed cleaned. We did have fresh towels, clean sheets, and lots of floor space for Sophie. Breakfast was adequate with grab and go microwaveable sausage biscuits with egg and cheese, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
Satisfactory
SureStay Hotel by Best Western GrantsTraveling with a pup and you don’t want to “own” the motel so this works. Room was clean, no carpet, roomy bathroom. Breakfast was minimum but coffee was great. Okay area to walk the dog. Front desk was cheerful and helpful. Pool closed.
Not the best
Comfort Inn & Suites Phoenix North / Deer ValleyEmployees were great. Room was small but comfortable. Grassy areas outside to potty your pooch.
The downside was that it was in a not great area. Lots of homeless hanging around the property so if you need to take your dog out after dark be aware. Needles, feces, sleeping folk. The building wasn’t very sound proof so if you or your pup are bothered by things that go bump in the night you might reconsider.
Wonderful Stay!
Prospector Hotel and CasinoWhat a surprise this place is! Pet friendly rooms had their own wing. At least 10 rooms. Ours was decorated with natural wood, mining decor, and old time photos. Dog bed and treats in room. Plenty of room for our large dog crate. Dogs were welcome in casino and bar. Great grassy area to play and potty dogs. Mexican restaurant on site. Great food. Definitely would stay here again! I
A Gem In Jerome
Best Western Sawtooth Inn & SuitesWe had never stayed here but saw it was pet friendly. It had top ratings and it should. Refundable pet deposit was “ just in case” and never charged. Our room was clean and spacious. We had 2 bicycles and an x-large dog crate. Green grassy areas for walking Kona.
Hot breakfast made to order was a bonus. Definitely will stay here again.
