The part of town was SKETCHY! Pine Bluff, we discovered (we Googled on Wikipedia), has a VERY HIGH violent crime rate! There were no bed bugs, but the floor and bathroom was dirty; loose, ill-fitting plank tiles on the floor where the bed was (one slid back and forth 1-2.”) Shower stall floor gross. I wiped up water from the bathroom floor (tan ceramic tile) where we placed our water bowl with a thin white towel, the towel was brown from the dirt. We saw no one to ask for assistance even when checking out, except the janitor behind the front desk at 7am. Maybe it was too early. Also, we had to reach out to BringFido to intercede for us to get our pet deposit refunded from the motel. They are still trying to get an answer on that at this writing.

Misty Bluff was a fabulous place to stay! It’s clean, beautifully decorated, had all of the little amenities we needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Also near wonderful hiking trails. The town of Jasper was a more relaxed, less crowded version of Gatlinburg. Our hostess was very kind and welcoming! Our German Shepherd loved lying inside and viewing the scenery and Grand Canyon of Arkansas through the large windows. We will be back!
