I won’t go if my dog can’t go

Sweet little motel with clean, updated rooms. Waffle House is right next door so the air smelled like bacon :) lots of green space for my dog Lola. No carpet in the rooms. Minutes from the Pensacola dog beach!

We walked the lower trail. Lola (a medium sized terrier mix) was hesitant at first, I had to carry her in a couple of places only because it got a tad too deep for her. People were patient and friendly as she got used to walking in moving water. We enjoyed watching everyone splash around in the lower pool. Lots of porta-potties and parking was easy. Bring snacks and water to drink. Were water friendly shoes, you will get wet. $20 CASH to enter (no debit/credit)

I was driving on 25 and hungry! Saw the sign and drove the mile into town. I called ahead and staff let me know I could bring my dog inside with me. We didn’t have to sit outside. The outside looked nice with plenty of covered picnic tables. This quirky, fun spot had some of the best pulled pork and iced tea! And very dog friendly! And they had live music. Worth stopping for.

My room was clean. Loved that it did not have carpet. My room had an updated shower, comfy bed, microwave, and mini fridge. There was plenty of outdoor space where my dog could go potty. Very dog friendly. But, bring an extension cord! My room did not have outlets near the bed, and there was only one outlet across the room. I’ll stay there again.

I took my dog with me on the Lake Lucero tour. There were 4 other dogs. I was worried about my dog walking over the selenite crystals, but the guide let me know that sand and wind smooth down the corners of the crystals. My dog loved the hike and had no problems. This is an absolute must do! Bring your doggy poop bags and water and bowl for pup.

The food was good and the patio was great. Lots of umbrellas and shade! There were three other dogs, all well behaved. And the staff were friendly and the food was fast.

Hub caps, beer, bbq, blues music, and I could bring my dog!

Amazing. Hike to the bottom of an ice cave, then hike around to the top of a (not active) volcano. The trail is covered in smooth crushed lava rock. It’s well taken care of and very clean. We went in early May. The trail bed was not hot, as lava rock is porous it doesn’t hold in heat. But, it is black and looked like it could become hot. Consider doggie shoes if hiking in the summer time as the trails and paths may get hot. Bring your own water, snacks, and doggie poop bags.

Super dog friendly, quirky pistachio farm turned souvenir shop. They gave my dog a treat inside the store at the register, outside she got a pup cup at the ice cream counter, and then we hopped on the 12 passenger golf thing for the tree farm tour. The tour was $3 and totally worth it! My dog sat in my lap and enjoyed looking around. Worth the time to stop.
