Dirty

The hotel sign is along the main road and is next to a very nice looking hotel. I called from the gas station next door as I usually do prior to booking to verify availability. The lady I spoke to was very friendly. When I pulled up to the hotel I realized that it was NOT the nice place next to the sign. It was the dark one in the back of that parking lot. Since I had already talked to the person and booked online, I decided to give it a chance.
The hotel was filthy! I had to change rooms immediately. The first room I was given smelled like cigarette smoke. Neither room looked like it had been cleaned. The bedspreads had several large stains and there was a cigarette burn in one of the sheets. The walls and doors were dirty. The sink still had toothpaste splashes from the previous person. Thank God I travel with clorox wipes and microban spray. I pretty much had to clean the second room. Had it not been so late when I got there, I would not have stayed.
There was no grass or appropriate place for my dogs to potty. The one dirt area in the back corner of the property was full of trash and broken glass. I had to walk to the hotel next door to find grass.
The lady who managing the desk was friendly. There were large shields in place but no one wore a mask. I asked what their rules were on mask use and she stated, "very relaxed". I never saw a single person waring a mask in the office or walkways.
I would not recommend staying here.
