We Loved It!

Pelham had a blast! So many new sniffs and things to explore along the shoreline! Parking was convenient and everyone was very respectful to us and our pup. The beach itself is not your typical sugar-sand beach, but it was clean and a great place for Pelham to put her toes in the water and nose in the sand!

Positively PAW-SOME Experience!

Whether your pup is just learning to swim or they're a dock-diving dynamo, Dog Splash is THE place to go for pool-time fun! With two temperature-controlled indoor pools, there's no excuse not to go all year around. You can rent either (or both) pool and let your doggo have a blast (yes, you can go in with them). Or, if your pup is more of a guppy-level swimmer, Caleb will work with your pup to increase their confidence in the water. There are too many positives to mention, so just GO to Dog Splash!!!

Great Food, Folks, and Fido-Friendly!

Juanita's was recommended to us because it's dog-friendly and has really good food. Absolutely SPOT ON on both counts! We visited Juanita's on a particularly yucky, rainy day so all three of us (my boyfriend, me, and our pup) were ecstatic when we were seated in the covered and enclosed patio area. Pelham was offered a bowl of water before we had even had a chance to sit down and our server, Liz, was right there asking what we needed and taking our drink orders. Pelham LOVED Liz who was so friendly and made sure Pelham had lots of ear scratches and attention as well. We ordered the Mexican pizza, beef burritos, pickled jalapenos, and chips with queso. Oh my goodness! Everything was sooooo good!! Liz checked in with us frequently (which Pelham thought was awesome, since it was obvious Liz was her new bestie!) The service was exceptional, the food was phenomenal, and we found our newest favorite Mexican restaurant in Charleston!! Next time we visit Charleston, we're going to make it a point to go to Juanita's first and often while we're there!!

Exceptional Charleston Experience!!

WOW!!! What an awesome experience! When we found out that we could go on a carriage tour of Charleston, and our dog could go, too? Heck yeah!! Although our pup, Pelham, was a bit skeptical of the weird-smelling (and big) "dog" pulling the carriage, she settled right in and enjoyed the sights with us (We purchased 2 additional seats so we had the whole row to ourselves to accommodate Pelham). Our tour guide, Jeremy, was entertaining and we were hanging on every word as he told us about all the cool historical sights along our route. I never imagined that a historical tour could be so mesmerizing, but Jeremy made the history of Charleston come alive! Tours run every 30 minutes, and while you're waiting you can meet the stars of the show - the horses! The barn is well-maintained, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the experience as a whole was a DON'T MISS IT activity for everyone: 2- and 4-legged visitors alike!

A Little Slice of Heaven

We found this hidden gem while visiting the area. There are 3 fenced areas, including an off leash beach!! Our pup LOVED it! It's not a very large park, but it's just right for a happy day out with your pup! There's a nice gazebo with a picnic table for the humans, too! I would suggest bringing a camp chair if you plan to spend time on the beach portion with your pooch. 5-paws up! 🐾🐾🐾

Wow!!!

Wow! So many great things to say about Pirate's Cove! The dog-friendly beach...YES!!! Our pup had a BLAST playing with the other dogs and romping in the water! Lunch was great, too. Cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings...yum! I hate to recommend it because we want to keep this jewel to ourselves, but the more dogs the better! Bring your sunscreen, appetite, and best boys and girls (of the canine variety) and have a great day at the Cove!
