Beautiful area
Point Defiance Park Off-Leash AreaWe really liked this park. However, it’s only partially fenced. Nice large open section by entrance where most people hung out. We wandered towards back of park where the fencing stops and there are spectacular view points BUT deadly cliff drops. We were very nervous about our young dogs getting towards edge. Great trails around it where we left dogs off leash and explored. No water source for dogs.
Beautiful walk in the forest
Rotary Bark ParkWe really loved this park. Magical walk through the forest with the dogs running up and down trails. Completely fenced. There’s a large open area for throwing the ball. I didn’t see any spigot for water but did see many large bottles of water and bowls around the perimeter near gates. Finding the entrance was a little tricky. I would go here every day if I could.
Big and varied terrain!
Fort Steilacoom Dog ParkWow! Absolutely loved this park. Extra large open field, beautiful wooded area and a small obstacle course. We walked the perimeter trail twice which is well manicured and flat. Water spigots for doggies and flushing toilet restrooms. Free parking, easy to find and really nice people and their pets.
So much poop
Dog Park at DuPont PowderWorks ParkThe off leash dog park section was small. I did like how it had an open area for playing and then a small wooded area. But, the poop! I’ve never seen so much at a dog park. It was gross. Spent about 10 minutes in the dog park and then walked around the rest of the large park with dogs on leash. I definitely preferred the leashed area over the unleashed.
