Great patio and bbq
Porkys BBQ of PaoliThis is a great little BBQ spot with a nice patio. Booths overlooking the creek keep your pup occupied and out of areas where people are walking. There are plenty of tables as well. Food was good and the portions were huge. There were several vegetarian options as well. I recommend the fried okra.
Patio is closed for renovation
Applewood Farmhouse RestaurantThe patio is closed for renovations, so they are not accommodating dogs right now.
Excellent food and service, and very dog friendly to boot.
Junction 35 SpiritsIt was pretty chilly, but we were prepared to eat on the patio with our dog. Instead we were encouraged to bring him on in, even when I protested that I would not characterize him as well-behaved. He did better than I expected though.. It was busy, but our server was so sweet and even brewed fresh coffee for my mom, who was freezing. The food was phenomenal. The drinks menu was inventive and enticing, although we didn't try any on this visit. Many employees came by to visit the dog, even though he was being a grump.
Worth the drive
Elvira's CafeElvira's is a little off the beaten path, as it's actually in Wears Valley. It's worth the drive though. The food is fresh and locally sourced. You can definitely tell the difference.. They didn't have outdoor seating at the time, but seated us in the sunroom with the picnic tables. Beware the border collie in the parking lot, as it will stealthily stalk your dog.
Dogs can remain in the room
Super 8 by Wyndham Pigeon Forge Dollywood LaneThe room was pretty basic and a bit run-down, but very clean. The parking lot was brightly lit. Unfortunately the 5:00 am clanging dumpster is still an issue. The dog potty area was accessible and it looked like people had picked up waste pretty well. I appreciated the ability to leave our dog in the room unattended, as most hotels in the area don't allow that. If there is a noise complaint from an unattended dog they will call and you have 30 minutes to return or face a $50 charge, so don't go too far.
