They were very welcoming and had free treats for the pups and water for the people at check-in. The rooms were clean and spacious. There is an easily accessible grassy area for the pups as well as a fenced dog park on site. We loved our stay there.

This place was awesome. They not only let me check in early, they also walked me to my room to make sure it was clean and ready. They made us feel very welcome. Lots of green space to walk my dog, too. Definitely worth the money, and it's a great way to break up the drive along I-40.

This section of the park has everything my dog loves. There's a field of grass and flowers full of butterflies, easy river access to splash around in, and wooded trails to Hidden Lake, a quarry and former swimming hole.

The larger part of the park is a Frisbee golf course, but there are trails weaving between the holes that run beneath the trees and along the marsh. Beautiful. There is also an observation dock that juts out into the marsh. Just across the street is the dog park where your dogs can go off leash. There are two large, separate enclosures, one for small and one for big dogs. Each space had shade trees and grass surfaces, along with benches for people. On Tuesday mornings the dog park opens later to allow for maintenance and cleaning, which was why no one was there when we visited. The city crew had just finished, so our dog had the whole place to herself for unhurried sniffing and exploring. It was a nice, relaxing morning for all of us.

The staff at the front desk were great, the room was clean, and the location was awesome. The beach was just a short, pleasant walk away. The only drawback was the incredibly thin connecting door to the room next to ours. We could hear everything our neighbors did and said. Even heard their snores. I would suggest you try to avoid getting a connecting room when you stay, unless they're your friends or family on the other side of the door.

The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The rooms were nice and clean. And it is a very dog-friendly place. In fact, a stray dog was wandering the area and they let him in the lobby to rest in the AC because it was so hot outside. They set out food and water for him too. The only downside was the walls are kinda thin and you can easily hear other people and the other dogs. Still, it's a good place to stay for the money.

The staff at check-in were nice and made the process easy. Our room was nice and clean. It was also well situated so we could easily take our dog in and out. The only drawback is no grassy spots for the dog, but there are mulch areas around the parking lot and you can walk your dog along a stretch of grass a little farther out from the hotel. Location of the hotel was good, too. Just an easy 35-minute drive from the state park and 5-minute drive from dog-friendly downtown.

Nice rooms and welcoming staff at check-in. We really liked the green space on the hillside for the dog. She did, too. Lol

It was a nice room and the staff at the front desk was very friendly. The rules don't allow for dogs on the bed or furniture though, so plan for that. We luckily brought our dog's many blankets and made a nice nest/bed for her next to our bed.
