It’s nice that there is a fenced in park here at the gas station. It rated so low because:
-Even though it is fenced in with a dolly port, the gate door they use to get mowers in is broken and can easily be pushed open. I had to secure it with a leash.
-There were poop bag stations and trash cans but there were no bags and the trash was full and some was even around the park.
-Since there were no bags there was a ton of poop scattered all around the park. Even after using three of our own bags to gather as much poop as we could there were still land mines laying around.
It worked and allowed our two 95 lb R.R. To stretch their legs and get out of the car, but we wish the Love’s dog park had a little more T.LC. 😉

We loved this little park! There were only two other dogs there when we went and they were very friendly. a little muddy from the rain, but if your pup gets dirty there is a pet store next door with self grooming stations. and anything you might need for your pet! highly recommend!!

Hard to find the pet areas since everything was covered in snow. I will say that it does suck having the room next to an exit because you hear the door slam shut whenever someone comes in or out. I think that’s less the facility and more of courtesy of others. Great spot, would stay again. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good.
lots of space! mainly dirt but very nice for a play session. be careful as there are small pipes poking up from the ground. I assume irrigation but keep an eye on the pups. water spigot was off since freezing temps but it seems neighbors left jugs of water which was amazing! friendly people and dogs. just so cold!!! bundle up in winter.

4 bones instead of 5 because it’s great for what it is but not ideal. great in a pinch, but the single door entrance instead of a sally port seems dangerous so close to the highway and a busy truck stop. otherwise good for a quick stretch and pee break.
We missed the Holbrook dog park so decided to stop at this national park. to our surprise they had two dog parks (for small and big sizes)! We thought we were only going to be able to walk on leash, but got a good run in! Covered in snow so the clay dirt wasn’t a problem. Stopped by the visitor center for the BARK certificate! Will go back when we have time to see the park!

Road trip from CA. We needed a quick spot to run our RR after been in the car for a few hours. I was worried this might be locked at night, but to our pleasant surprise it was open! only one other dog showed up while we were there. The two light poles in the park were not on but there was enough light from the motel next door. Going on our favorites list for sure to stop by when passing through.
