Super dog-friendly, good drinks, okay food

Norwood's Restaurant & Treehouse Bar

My partner and I visited with our 70 lb Pyrenees mix Izzy. Lots of patio space, and we were seated along the outer edge, so the pup had plenty of space to lay comfortably out of the way. The patio is well covered, so we weren't worried about the imminent rain, which was nice. Our server was sweet with Izzy and greeted us with a fresh bowl of water for her.

Our drinks and the fish dip appetizer were solid. Our entrees, however, were a bit bland. The seafood in the dishes was high quality, but they were under-seasoned. We would visit again if we have the dog with us but would choose different entrees next time.

Delicious and dog friendly, but might be a little crowded for larger doggos

Third Wave Cafe & Wine Bar

My partner and I visited with our 70 lb Pyrenees mix and sat in their garden patio area. The patio was gorgeous with lots of greenery and cozy lighting. It was a little crowded for a large dog but we made it work. There were other tables that would have been better for us if they weren't already occupied, so next time we might go on the earlier side with the hopes of sitting at one of the tables along the outer edge of the patio. Our server welcomed us with a water bowl for Izzy. There were a few dogs at other tables nearby and a roaming chicken. Not a problem for us but good to know in advance in case your pup gets rowdy around other animals.

The cocktails and food were delicious and a welcome departure from typical beach fare. (Recommendation: Get the Moroccan Date Night appetizer!) We'll definitely be back next time we're in New Smyrna.
