Weren’t Allowing Patio Customers
Lindberg's TavernWe stopped here on a cross country trip but they said they didn’t have staff for patio customers (said usually by the end of march they’ll have it open). To be fair they were slammed inside and it was misty and chilly outside. They also offered for the pups to come inside if they were well behaved but didn’t want to risk it and there was wait. Still a bummer though, we just went to a nearby Panera.
Long Wait Good Food
Local F.I.GWe stopped by during a long drive on I-40 and went out of the way to try this place. We waited quite a bit on a weekday during lunch which made it pretty inconvenient for us and the service seemed really slow in general. There was plenty of space for the dogs but there were only a few tables outside so may be a problem if it’s busy. The food was really good once it came at least!
Great Pitstop with Dog
Fordson HotelBeautiful hotel which was a great place to stay with our two dogs. The rooms are huge with lofting ceilings which makes it feel very roomy. All the staff was really nice and even offered treats for the dogs. Fitness center was also great! Definitely a great affordable relaxing stop if you have a dog.
Great Patio for Dogs!
Spicy Mike's Bar-B-Q HavenGreat little secluded bbq joint with a nice patio for the dogs. You’ll walk around back with your dog to the patio and then walk in to order at a counter. They’ll bring food out and paper towels and sauces. Food was great, I’d recommend the brisket for sure. Spicy sauce wasn’t too hot, the mac and cheese has a little kick. Dogs loved all the space on the patio and food was great, so it was a worthwhile venture from I-40 on our trip (about 6min each way).
FYI, they have some signs to walk around back to sit with your dog and also some dog rules on the door.
