Groveland dog park is open to anyone who pays the annual $25 fee and provides vaccination records, permits available at the Groveland District Services office. This gives you a code for the gate. Large dog and small dog areas, running water, picnic tables and seating, and waste bags are provided. A large space, probably 2-3 acres so plenty of room to run.

Around the Horn is a nice brewpub en route to Yosemite. They make some of their own brews and feature brews and wines from the Gold Country area and beyond. There is an enormous outdoor area which is mostly shaded and works well for dogs. Food is fairly simple but satisfying.

We stopped here in mid-January on the way back from cross-country skiing. We sat in a protected patio area next to a small fountain, and our waitress brought out a water bowl for our Marley right away. My husband had a delicious tri-tip French dip sandwich and I had the turkey sandwich, both were really good and quite large. The outdoor seating area was nice and away from the street. We’ll definitely stop there again. .

We stayed here two nights during their Yulefest. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel features an enclosed areas for dogs to exercise which was important for us. A yogurt + Danish pastry + coffee breakfast is included and delivered to your room. The hotel is within a few blocks of the many dog-friendly restaurants and shops. The varied architecture of the rooms is really nice as well.

We had a reservation for 6pm on the 2nd of January, a clear, crisp winter evening. The staff were incredibly nice, admiring our dog and telling us about their own dogs. The gave us the two-top table in the front of the patio so our large dog would be out of the way of the servers. They brought a water bowl for him too. The food was exceptions. A lovely caesar salad that was plenty for two. Grilled ribeye was perfectly done with a red wine reduction, and the lobster tail with shallot butter was excellent. The mixed mushrooms with shallot red wine sauce were fabulous. A wonderful wine list by the glass was a perfect accompaniment. Highly recommended. We were here in early January for the end of the Yulefest, and the whole area was lit up and very pretty.

There is an indoor restaurant, a large outdoor beer garden out front, and a small patio out back with two tables. The hostess guided us to the patio tables which gave us plenty of room for our 80-pound half-Pyrenees. Service was fast and nice. We had a one-sausage Danish plate which was quite good, and the fish and chips, also quite good. Our dog found a comfy place to lay under the table. Very dog friendly and really understood those needs.

We came here and sat on the patio with our 80-pound half-Pyrenees, who takes up a good amount of room. Service was good, We had a Guinness and had a great view of the central park all lit up for Julefest. Very dog-friendly.

While we live in Oakland, we had only been to this hotel for a conference or dinner. Our home was damaged in a storm and we needed a dog-friendly place to stay for several nights. This was perfect. Room was large, comfortable, and spacious, staff were definitely pet friendly, there are two large grassy areas for dog walking (though not enclosed) and walking along the water from is nice even in the rain. A fenced dog park is about 6 blocks away. Every restaurant has a large outdoor area so you can bring your dog with you to eat. Coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave in the room. Our room had a nice sitting area where we could have the dog bed. This is the first time we had used BringFido and it is a terrific discovery. I recommend the hotel and this service!
