Excellent patio!

Howard's Restaurant

This was the 5th place we tried to eat on one of the evenings of our Smoky Mountains trip (other places were closed or patios weren't open), and I'm so glad we found this! We called ahead to make sure the patio was open and that we could bring our dog, and they said absolutely, they are pet-friendly. In 20 minutes, we were seated next to the creek. The hostess and server were super friendly with us and our dog, and the food was good, too. We'd definitely go back.

Great place away from the downtown

Fox & Parrot Tavern

I was surprised to see dogs were allowed in the dining area (totally great), but we chose to sit on the patio with our pup because it was a warm day. It was not busy, but there were signs everywhere saying to expect long wait times since food is made to order, so we didn't mind that service took a while. There are very few food options for gluten free people like me, which was kind of a bummer, but we made do (and we weren't there for a full meal, anyway). My husband loved the beer bread so much he asked the server if he could buy a loaf to go (and he did!) Highly recommend for a cold beverage on a nice day!

Very kind to our dog!

Lodge Factory Store

We hadn't realized the store was pet-friendly until we got there and a worker waved us in. Our dog was spoiled with lots of head scratches and treats from the friendly employees! Great deals on Lodge cookware, too!

Beautiful views!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

We went to the national park knowing there were only two dog-friendly trails (kind of a bummer, but I get it). We walked both trails and enjoyed them. We also drove through the park on two different days; we could not get enough of the spectacular views, and our dog enjoyed opportunities to pull over and stretch and sniff. Absolutely gorgeous scenery!

Quirky, fun surprise!

The Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum

We stopped into the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum on a drizzly day as was one of the few indoor places we could take our dog. What a fun surprise - we ended up really enjoying it! Just the sheer number of salt and pepper shakers is mind-blowing. The man who greeted us was very friendly with us and with our dog. At only $3/person, you can't go wrong!

Fantastic views!

Gatlinburg SkyPark

We weren't sure if we wanted to spend the money to go here after experiencing such beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains in the national park, but we were so glad we did! Views were outstanding, and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying the scenery. Our pup loved it, too!
