Tidy Sandy Little Beach
Hagar BeachEasy to find with an ample parking lot.
🚽 Port-a-potty accommodations.
🛝There is a beautiful playground near the parking lot.
The staircase to the beach is a bit of a climb, but the lake is right there so you don’t have to walk too far through the sand to the hit water.
🏖️Beach is sloped and small (~200 yards) from erosion, but it makes for shallow water great for the dogs and warmer too!
🚮Very well maintained Beach there were trash receptacles near the parking lot and the beach was clean. There was a couple other dogs there but we were spaced out. The rules are that dogs are to be leashed, but the other dogs we saw were not on a leash but stuck with their families. Only when the dogs were in close proximity to other families, I saw them get leashed. They didn’t bother us so we were fine with it. My dog is not a water dog by any means, she loves to lay in the sand and watch the water wash up on the sand.
🚫🛜 I have Verizon cellular service and I had no service while there, but I was glad to be off the grid for awhile and focus on enjoying time with my family. We will definitely be back!
Covered but a limited seating area
South Haven BrewpubWe tried South Haven Brewpub on recommendation from a local. It was a busy holiday week (Fourth of July) and surprisingly a lot of dogs were out having a good time with their families. We got there at 3pm and had to wait 20-30 minutes for a table in the animal area, which only had two small tables that could fit four humans and one large table for six maybe seven humans. This animal area is covered and no one was in direct sunlight. Due to regulations wait staff had to stay behind a barrier (pictures below) and handed over drinks and food across. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was delicious but my mom had a chicken salad and she said the chicken was dry. Brewpub had a couple of water bowls for the dogs but the table we sat at did not have a dedicated water dish. I brought my collapsible water bowl and asked for an extra glass of water. There was Live Music playing from right outside the entrance in the Old Harbor Village where SoHa Brewpub is located. Overall our experience was good.

Hoppin’ spot!
HopCat⭐️Amazing food, I dream about cosmik fries.
⭐️Great Outdoor Patio Space. The gate entrance is located on E Water Street, someone has to let you in as it is locked from the outside.
⭐️ Awesome Staff. They brought out a water bowl for my dog and gave her pets.
⚠️ Warning - the train tracks are located on the other side of the fenced in patio. Though trains doesn’t pass frequently there the trains are very loud and can scare pups. My dog did okay with the passing train and she is afraid of fireworks and thunder.

Bone AppetitThe Pet Groomers are well educated and are very patient with my anxious dog. They are willing to answer any of my questions and took the time to teach proper home maintenance for my doodle and got her on a routine grooming schedule. Their receptionist is very welcoming and helpful to pick out the prefect treat for my dog. They have a variety of cute pet safe cookies and you can even order a custom birthday cake for your dog’s special day. We will be back!
