Great for dogs and humans alike

We chose Barefoot Hills because we have a 90 lb dog as well as a smaller one. Most places will not accept big dogs but it was no problem for Barefoot Hills. Our room was small, but incredibly clean and well maintained with a fridge and microwave in the room. The facilities outside were great with a large communal deck area. They are close to downtown Dahlonega with great multiple dining possibilities, you can then come back and finish your evening on the deck.

Great service, great drinks, great food

Everything was great, and they don’t just tolerate dogs, they embrace them (literally)

Nice woodland

the woodland walks are nice, but the dog park is not so good, no water available, mostly dirt not grass.

Great place for Dogs and People

Absolutely great place to let your dog enjoy the water. There were lots of dogs there and no one was worried about the leash laws. This turned into a dog park with a river running through it. You need to go to pumping station drive.

Great Park.

they have three areas, one for large dogs, one for small dogs and one for any dogs regardless of size. There are seats with covered areas, it is nice enough to bring a picnic and eat while the dogs play. Outside of the runs there is a large wooded area where you walk dogs (on leash). Abundant water supplies and good, ample parking.

Terrible

worst dog park we have ever been to. The design was flawed from the outset. The gates fit so badly that they have put concrete clocks around to block the gaps. there is a drain the middle of the grass, the bars are 1-1/2” apart, just right for breaking a dogs leg. it is now the end of May and temperatures are getting up into the 80’s and, although there is a water spigot there, the water is not turned on.
