Meh

we went for lunch today after going to Pentwater beach. They have a very large grassy area in the back with picnic tables which is great for dogs. They are not really a sit down “restaurant”. You have to fill in a piece of paper with your order and line up to pay and then they bring it to you. so it’s more like a take out place. No service beyond that. It cost us $70 for 2 burgers for us and a plain patty for Lucy. All were undercooked and they even got the fries order wrong. Way overpriced for busing your own table and lining up for food.

Great patio on the east side of the building so it’s totally in shade at happy hour.

They brought us a giant bowl of water. the bowl is weighted at the bottom so she can’t tip it over. love the dog menu. and tables and couches are spaces wide apart so lots of room for puppers to lay down and not be squished between tables.

Lots of pets!

We stayed here on a trip home to FL from up north. We’d never stayed at a La Quinta before. It’s almost exactly like a Hampton Inn, but with pets. Room and shower was clean and didn’t smell like dogs or such. The hotel backs on to the highway, but we were on the front side and heard no traffic.

The check in was friendly and we were on the first floor with a lot of other. There is not a lot of room to walk on grass on the property. They do have a spot with a bench and a roll of doggie bags. We walked next door around a vacant building (maybe not vacant, but no cars in the lot when we were there).

The hotel parking circles the building so you can drive all the way around ). We were pulling a trailer so this mattered to us.

Free breakfast but no pets allowed in the eating area.

All in all, a pleasant experience.

Nice Park

We took our dog here in July 2019. It’s got lots of big trees and 4 benches for people to sit on, some with a view of a lake. Nice and shady on a warm summer day! The land is hilly so dogs can run up and down.

Mixed Review

We ate lunch here in July 2019. Me and my husband had burgers. Very good. And their fries are excellent. They brought Lucy a bowl of water with our waters which was awesome. Very dog friendly. The reason for the 3 bones is that we ordered a plain patty for Lucy and were changed as if it was a whole meal with fries etc. Usually dog friendly restaurants will just charge a few $$ for a bare patty. Not here. $12. Feed your dog before you bring them here!
