Lifelong dog lovers. We have two black English Labs-Fergus & Emmett

This was our last stop on a three night trip home.We pulled into the parking lot and saw plenty of open spaces. This can either be worrisome or good, depending on how you see things. The front desk staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They attended to our every need. We were placed in a building further to the back of the complex, on the ground level, about two doors in from the entrance door. Our room faced a lush green pasture. Everything was well appointed, albeit the property has seen some years.
When I brought dinner (take-out from D&Js) back to our room, I worried that the parking lot had filled up to nearly full capacity with work trucks. I saw 4 men getting out of a truck parked in front of our building. Each was carrying a case of beer. I worried that it was going to be a loud night, but it wasn't. No loud voices, no loud footsteps above or outside our room, and mostly, no heavy doors banging at all hours of the night. WHEW!!!!! We would stay here again since the outdoor space is excellent for dog walks. It is convenient to the freeway, and many restaurants, unless you want to eat at the restaurant on site.

We visited Elko Dog Park just a few days ago and it has been, by far, one of the BEST dog parks we have taken our 2 black labs to on our road trips. Every aspect was top notch - clean, well stocked with water, poop bags, trash recepticles. PLENTY of grassy space with a separate space for large and small dogs.

We stopped here on our way out of St George, UT. The park has three areas - 2 for small dogs, and 1 for large dogs. Plenty of space in each. Poop bags available, with bins. Water bowls and running water. Parking was ample.

Such a great find! My husband and I shared the 3 tacos and an Anchor Wrap. We had leftovers, it was so filling. Wonderful, friendly staff. Great value.

This was the last stop on our trip home from snowbirding in Arizona. It was also the worst. We tend to stay in La Quinta properties because they can be counted on for consistency in pricing, pet-friendly rooms, and quality. This did NOT meet those standards. First, this may not be a game changer for some, but they do not have an elevator. Lugging bags and dog 'stuff' up the stairs was unpleasant after a 7-hour day in the car. The beds were much softer than our previous 3 nights in La Quintas. The breakfast was substandard - I skipped everything except the coffee. Our lampshade didn't even cover the bulbs, so we couldn't use it without blinding ourselves. The pet area is a mound of dirt. I will give it to the reception desk - they admit the property is tired.

We pulled into La Quinta after a 7-hour road trip and needed to rest. The reception area was all ready for us. We had pre-registered online, and our room was ready on the first floor near an exit, so we could take our dogs in and out easily. Breakfast was excellent. The beds were super comfy. Right on the main thoroughfare in town with great access to restaurants, gas, and other needs you may have while traveling.

Arriving at the Hampton Inn Ukiah, we were tired from a long drive and ready to just relax. The front desk person was surprised when I mentioned pets. Even though we had checked in electronically, I wanted to make sure he knew we had two dogs. He told me many people do not do that, and therefore the electronic check-in is troublesome for tracking pets. Our booking, on his end, did not reflect pets. It was through Booking.com, no mention of BringFido. I even called BringFido to let them know of this disconnect. We squared all of that away, and had a great rest of evening. We were asked to hang a notice on our door that Pets were Resting Comfortably. Breakfast was yummy. There is ample area around the property for pee breaks.

At check-in, I asked about sheets for our dogs. The guest liaison stopped, looked up, and said 'You had dogs?' Her information did not reflect dogs. She had to rearrange a lot on her end to put us in a pet friendly room. She seemed bothered by that. Back to the sheets for the beds - she informed me that they do not allow pets on the beds. (It was going to be a long night!) The room HVAC was horrible. The heater/fan cycles every five minutes no matter what temp - heat or AC. We tried the fan only, but the temp dropped to 60. There is a nice open area behind the hotel but be careful and keep your dogs on leash. The center is a mud bog! Breakfast was sparse - only potatoes and sausage - no eggs. I grabbed a bagel and we continued our journey south.

This was our third and final stop on our trek south. The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived. They offered information about the hotel/services. We appreciated the surroundings, ease of access to freeway, services and restaurants. Sadly the property grounds are covered with dog poo left by other humans who didn't pick up. The breakfast was excellent and well supplied. Very reasonably priced.

Heading to Arizona, we stopped here to let our two labs run around. Quite large space with paved trail all the way around. Summer months provide additional space with grassy slope.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Arizona. Brand new property with plenty of room. Very pet accommodating and welcoming. Nice, quiet, and spacious rooms appointed with microwave, big fridge, dishes, dishwasher, and pull out table. Appealing breakfast downstairs each morning and plenty of snacks if you want to pay. We enjoyed our one night and vowed to put this location on our CA route.

Excellent location for travels to/from AZ when snow birding. Warm, welcoming staff. Rooms are spacious, and while a bit dated, upgrades have been made and everything was impeccably clean. We enjoyed a nice quiet night, quick grab and go breakfast and plenty of trips to the large fenced in dog area.

I wasn't expecting a lot from this location, but it exceeded them. We were greeted by reception, and they gave our two labs a welcome treat! The room was very clean, updated and very quiet. The location is a bit quirky to find, but just use your GPS app (we used Maps) and it will guide you there easily. Most fast food places are within 5-7 min drive. There is a restaurant next door if you want to sit down. Breakfast was mostly continental, with some added scrambled eggs and bacon. We will use this location again on our back-and-forth snow bird trek.

This location was clean and amenities were stocked. The outdoor pet area is dirt, and the poop bag dispenser was empty. We stayed on a Saturday night and the place was beyond loud. We drove up and a Jeep was in the ‘valet’ entry, blaring music. We were located on the first floor, and despite the 15’ ceilings, it sounded like a circus was underway upstairs from about 7pm until after midnight. I went to the front desk, and they said they would notify the room above. Nothing happened. My husband went to the front desk - same story. The noise started up again around 6:30am. We left shortly thereafter. What I am most concerned about is the activity we saw in the parking lot - without too much description, it was illicit behavior of several kinds. This is NOT a place for children! I will not book here again.

Our dogs were spooked well into the night with slamming doors. We did our best to keep them from barking, but wound up leaving at 4am to avoid disturbing other guests. This property caters to a lot of construction workers with late arrival and early departure. The hotel itself was lovely and very comfortable.

We chose La Quinta by Wyndham for our road trip. The Meridian, ID location is super convenient, close to so many restaurants, and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our two labs couldn’t have been more comfortable.
