Lobsta Land Restaurant

Great location for a dog and human to hang together

Lobsta Land is one of very few restaurants in the Gloucester and Rockport area that allow dogs to dine on the outdoor patio despite most of the restaurants have an outdoor area. I sat at a lovely outdoor full bar while Simba stayed close to me and met other dogs on the patio. Everybody on the patio seem to be enjoying the dogs that were there. The staff brought Simba a big bowl of water in a dog bowl so they are used to welcoming dogs. See the photos from our visit on 8/6/25.

Disappointing facilities at the dog park

We visited on 6/14/15 but did not stay long because while the fenced in area was large enough, and they had wood chips down, which is always better than grass or dirt, there was no water inside the dog park. Somebody said you could walk to an abandoned building and carry water over from the building, but the building was not that close. Furthermore, while they did have poop bags inside the dog park, they did not have trash receptacles in which to throw a used poop bag so you had to carry that while you were walking your dog on a leash out of the park to discard. Also, there were no places for adults to sit or obstacles for the dogs to play on. The dog park in Simsbury and in Canton are much, much better in terms of having all of those facilities. Very disappointing that this is what the town of West Hartford has come up with for their dog park area.

Great dog park!!

Simba and I go here a couple of times per week. They installed artificial turf where the big dogs play the most so there is no mud issue. They have obstacles for the dogs, free flowing water station for the dogs to drink inside the park and a couple of stations of poop bags and waste baskets. It’s right next to the Pickleball courts so there’s plenty of parking as well if you don’t live in the neighborhood. Best park around and a lot of friendly people except for one guy who has a very aggressive larger dog who he feels is appropriately behaved when the dog literally attacks other dogs. The guy is clueless, so just avoid him if he is there.

The best dog park in Florida !

Simba and I love this dog park! As great as lilac park is in Palm Beach Gardens, this one is top notch in that it is much larger, it’s basically a human park with walkways around the entire fenced in area where dogs can run around off leash. They have obstacles, water for drinking for the dogs inside the park, poop bags, and waste stations, a pavilion covering in case the weather is bad for humans to wait for the dogs to play, and a huge dirt pile that’s the size of a house if your dog is like mine and loves heights. And don’t worry about the dog being dirty because on the way out, there are dog washing stations! Awrome Park with lots of friendly people and all dog people!! Huge parking lot and public restrooms.

This is the best place to go with your dog in the Hamptons. No contest. 10 stars!!

This gorgeous local bistro has a dog/paw menu for $36 that has 3 courses made to order for your best friend. We have never experienced such love and respect for my puppy anywhere. Look at their website for the paw menu dishes!!! We sat indoors in the bar area and received the royal treatment and all other human patrons, the servers, bartender and maitre de did their part. This restaurant really loves dogs. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Human food is suberb too. We travel all over the US (my Simba and me) and this is beyond any expectations we could have dreamed of!!

Skip this place Entirely

You order food at a take out counter and they bring it to you in a to go container in the back “garden” area. You are glad that it is in a to go container because the back garden area is a total pit and you cannot wait to get out of there. They do not bring any water for your dog see photos. There are better places to go on shelter Island and if nothing else you can stop at the store and pick up lunch and go to Crescent Beach after Labor Day.

Largest dog park; great exercise for human and pup!

There are 10-15 minute walking trails that are off leash and your dog figures out how to take one to get to the huge clearing where all tails and trails meet. Water provided as are poop bags. Entire 20 acres and all trails are fenced in. Great for reinforcing pups learning your voice control.
